I have an extra Merl BP-1010 battery pack since my ELT-10 decided it didn't want to transmit anymore. The expiration on the battery pack is April 2026 and it has about 10 seconds of cumulative run time from troubleshooting the old ELT.

Free to anyone who can use it. I can deliver within about 100NM of KROG once my 150 is done with its annual or bring it to Clinton if you aren't in a rush. If you need it sooner, then I ask that you pay the shipping cost.

My former 152 used the BP-1020 battery pack. I opened an expired pack and inside were just six ordinary D-sized alkaline batteries welded together. Currently sold for $65 at Spruce. What a rip-off.

I phased out my ELTs that used custom battery packs and now buy my batteries at Safeway or Walgreens.

I didn't know there was one that took plain batteries. The new ELT I've already committed to takes battery packs that run $280 at the moment at 6-year intervals.

I don't know about new ELTs, but the old AK-450s take D cells. Duracell prints a date code on their batteries, so they qualify.
