Turned in my radio to BEVANS in Aug of 2023...still waiting.

Called a few times...told Oct, then Nov...then Dec and holidays came - then mid-Jan...calling again tomorrow.

I am sure they are good and I am positive they are busy.

It's a good thing I don't need it urgently....beware.

Called and actually got to talk to the bench avionics specialist, Tom.

I have spoken to him multiple times.

I am now "...# 5 in the line on the bench and it should be done by next week."

OK, being patient. Have heard this before but will keep the faith - sent the radio in during the month of August of 2023...more to follow.

Wow, that is brutal. I almost sent a KX155 in to Bevan in November but luckily was able to dodge sending it in completely. Kinda glad to see this in case I ever need to in the future, I'll just make sure to set aside a year to wait.

Thanks Dave, I am going to reserve judgement for when I get the radio back...

Maybe they ARE that busy?

You just expect better than turning it in Aug of one year and hoping to get it back by Feb the NEXT year...

It is a working radio that just needed some new lights in the indicators and a clean-up/tighten-up.

I'll keep everyone posted...

My mechanic just sent my Mx 300 to the shop, not transmitting . Supposed to take one to three weeks we shall see. Looking at options for an audio panel and second radio.

Maybe he has "pull" I don't have. I am starting to get the impression you have to know "Tom" to get your radio on the bench...

I'm disappointed.

3 weeks sounds like a good promise...I would have been ok with THREE MONTHS.

Are there alternatives? Anyone know of any?

Not sure if this is just me being "too polite" on the phone or a sincere case of just falling behind on the work....now to the point of marginal customer service.

Thanks Ron, I will do that with my NEXT radio going in as soon as I get this one back...

I have a special mailing container for the MX-300 I like to use when shipping...I will go with Cost Aero next...again, thanks Ron.

Update on my Mx 300 the shop says it be h checks ok. They are going to do some sort of thermal test on it. In the interim I had an external antenna installed and purchased a sportys portable P2 + since I only have one comm radio.

Years ago, when I bought my 150F, the MX 300 radio was intermittent when transmitting. I sent it in and it worked good so they "baked" it. The found a cold solder joint in the transmit section. It was still working well when I sold it in July 2012.
