Hi everyone,
Happy New Year!
I am currently looking to repair small items on a 1967 Cessna 150. The fuel cap has partially broken off, making it difficult to open. The gasket is also old, so I am looking to see if anyone has a cap and gasket they can sell.

I am also looking to buy spare fuses and though someone may have a bunch lying around - 10, 15, and 20amps.

The next couple items on my to-do list include replacing the current lights with LEDs and would love to know the best place to find those.

Thanks for your help!

Hey Kenny!

Unfortunately I won't be much help on the fuel cap/fuses, and I've only got a single spare gasket on hand, but Aircraft Spruce should have them and salvage yards may be an option if no one here has spares laying around they can part with.

As for the LEDs, what lights are you looking to replace? If you can wait a bit, I'd imagine there will be some deals on them around the Sun 'n Fun/Oshkosh timeframes! I got a set of the Whelen Orion 650 nav/strobe lights last year for a decent price (Along with the adapter kit required to fit most of the Cessna wingtips), and my 150 came with Whelen PAR36 landing/taxi lights which do a great job of illuminating the runway. I haven't swapped out the beacon yet, but I'd imagine I'll end up with a Whelen Orion or AeroLEDs light for that when the time comes as well. I've heard plenty of good information about AeroLEDs, and Whelen's reputation is also stellar best I can tell.

Feel free to reach out with any questions on the lights in particular, as I invested a fair amount of time, well... okay... way too much, researching them before OSH last year.

Another option is to cut a gasket out of sheet material; available through Amazon or your local auto parts supplier. Cut the outline with scissors or a knife, then punch out the holes. A set of these makes it easy.
