If over 60 and you wake up in the morning and nothing hurts.....................your dead.
What bad luck for that buyer that couldn't pass the physical. It's such a great plane, too. I wish I could have this awesome C150/180 with distinguished provenance.

What a sad, sad story.
I'm sure he had his heart set on owning and flying one of the most powerful and nicest 150's on the planet and then had the rug pulled out from under him destroying his dreams.
Flying and owning an airplane is one of the few hobbies I know or can think of that can be ruined by the vagaries of passing an FAA physical. You feel just fine, and probably are, but the FAA doesn’t agree. I hate that this happened to your potential buyer.
FYI The previous buyer lives in St. George Utah. Approximately 300 miles South West. of me. He loved the airplane and had it all paid for. He was going to get his physical (He has his PPL but had not flown for about 4 years) Problem is some of the Meds he has to take. Looks healthy and acts it. Only 42 yrs old, but you know the FAA. Could not get them to change their minds

I don't remember all the requirements, but can he go Basic Med?

Unfortunately, no. You can't get BasicMed if you've failed a flight physical.
Even if you had BasicMed, there are a list of medications and conditions that, once discovered, will disqualify you from flying for good, no questions asked, no wiggle room. Sounds like in this case the former buyer is taking meds on the "DO NOT FLY" list.
Hope she sells quick, Dale, and the buyer is either someone in the club, or becomes a new member.
