I have a 150L, and the eyebrow assembly, that?s the rubber piece that goes across the top of the instument panel, has deteriated to the point it needs to be replaced. I called Cessna parts to buy a new one. The part number was 0415003-6. This is just a rubber piece that goes across your instrument panel. So assuming this is a part for an airplane, I figured it would cost some ludicrous amount of say $150 - $200. Well the cost is beyond ludicrous, it costs $629.00. This is a rip off for sure. Does anyone know of an after market supplier of this part. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Just how bad is the one you have?
Shelby at TN Wings [tnwings.com] sells a
leather cover for it. Looks real nice when installed.

call Shelby...he could probably even do the new rubber if need be, but the leather ones are FANTASTIC. I had him do leather covers for my rubber arm rests a few years back...very nice.

I got the leather eyebrow from TNwings,, it looks very nice and very easy to put on. I would suggest if your's is totally shreaded to possibly get a used one from the used parts suppliers, or if it's still in 1 piece,, just get the leather from Shelby..

On my 150M, I removed the eyebrow piece, and installed an Ashby glareshield. I still have the eyebrow in my hangar if you want it. It's not perfect, but it may be better than what you've got. It's probably a perfect candidate for SEM treatment.

Ron, I appreciate the information. The eyebrow is still in decent shape except it is beginning to dry out and needs to be replaced. If I can cover it with something then it would probably do fine. I will try TN Wings

Steven,
Shelby, at TN Wings, says the eyebrow should fit directly in a FEDEX or UPS triangle shaped, 3' long shipping tube. Sorry, I didn't look at their website before posting this reply, so I can't really tell you the price of the leather cover. Perhaps it's on their site. You may wanna check.

I think it's:

Call or write Dawson Aircraft. They have quite a few wrecked 150 and 152 specimens. You can view what they have extracted for sale online, but if you ask they will go out to the yard and yank out whatever you want. Nice folks...ask for Ty.
