So after painting the plane, I need to have the fuel placards replaced on top of the wings. Since I have the auto fuel STC, I ordered the 80/100LL stickers from Aircraft Spruce that look like this. Unfortunately, what showed up was the 100LL ONLY sticker.
Before the stickers arrived, I was digging through my maintenance logs and realized only the letter from EAA was in my paperwork and the actual STC was not attached. Obviously, I panicked a bit thinking that my plane may not actually be issued the STC after acting as if it had since I purchased it. After a phone call to EAA, we researched my tail and serial numbers and confirmed my plane does indeed have the STC, but it did need the updated 2004 paperwork. Included with the paperwork is another set of placards.
So another phone call was made, this time to Aircraft Spruce to have them refund me for their mistake. They told me to just keep the mistaken stickers/placards, and are sending me the correct replacement ones.
All that said, I have one set of 100LL stickers available to anyone that may need a replacement right now. The 80/100LL stickers will be arriving in Jan and will be available to anyone who's plane is STC'd for auto fuel and may be in need of a fresh set. No charge for any of the stickers, just send me a shipping label and I'll get them in the carrier's hands. First come, first serve.
Cameron - My apologies, but the 100LL stickers were just given away two weeks ago to someone at my home airport. I should have posted that they were given away. Sorry about that!
