Looking for a spinner and backing plates for my 1966 150F.

Part numbers are:
0450027-3
0450027-10
0450106-1

Items # 14,18, and 16 from the figure.

Last thing needed to finish my annual. Any leads are appreciated!

You may already know this but, you can fly your plane with a spinner (and associated parts), a skull cap, or without those items. My 1966 150F was without any thing. I liked the look, some do not.

I discussed the no spinner option with my IA previously. He’s under the impression that the 150 was never certified that way so going without would create a TCDS issue. He’s got no issue with no spinner on other planes that have been certified that way.

If you got any documentation or leads that I can follow that would help alleviate his TCDS concern that might solve it. Thanks.

I think your IA may be incorrect in his assumption that the 150 was never certified without a spinner. In the TCDS for the 150 and 152 (same TCDS for both) a spinner isn't mentioned on any of the 150 models. A spinner isn't required until the 152 model. (page 10 of the TCDS).
Ask him/her to show you where it shows that the spinner is required per the TCDS.

And the Skull Cap was standard equipment on all 150s up to the "L" model when the cowling changed and the prop extension was added.

Id go with the skull cap. It's super hard to find salvage spinners, and new from Cessna is over $3k for all those parts.

I wished I could have put a skull cap on mine when the spinner cracked, but it's not allowed on the M model.

Appreciate the insight all!

I think I’ll venture the Skullcap option. Thanks.

The problem with the spinner is the plastic 0450106-1 which gets brittle with age. If they do exist at all, they're likely to be in poor shape and/or cost the better part of an AMU. And I wouldn't try to use the spinner without it. I went to a skull cap when mine crumbled. But if you decide you want to go with the spinner and can find the plastic piece, I still have the 040027-3 and 040027-10 that I replaced with a skull cap.
