I'm looking to replace the left wing tip on my 1974 150L due to cracking. My IA stated that it would probably have to be replaced by next October so I'm starting to look for a replacement. Any ideas on where I might be able to find a used one for a good price, other than e-bay?

Thanks,

Robert

Joseph,

Thanks for the info. This will give me plenty of time to save money by next October to replace the old one.

Pay for shipping and you can HAVE my left wingtip. I just put new MetCoAir wing tips on my Cessna.

I can take the wingtip to Pack & Mail and what ever they charge for the service, it is yours.

I don't recall anything with the wingtip that would deem it not serviceable. I am going to the hanger tomorrow and can take a picture and send to you. All this for gratis, minus the shipping and Pack-n-Mail fee.

Roy,

Just sent you a PM. Where are you located and airport identifier?

Thanks,

Robert:

I have my Cessna in a hanger at Ballinger, Texas... In fact, if you are willing to fly down, you can have both wingtips. Before doing so, let me post some pictures of the wingtips. They will need a paint job, but for old wingtips, they will pass muster during an annual.

I am going to be in New York City the week of Oct. 17-24, so anytime after that is OK with me, unless you are in a rush.

I'll do my best to snap some pictures today (Friday 13th) and post this evening.

If you try shrinking them by referencing the size in pixels, not megabytes, I think you'll get the results you want. 640x480 pixels is a good enough size for most pictures on this forum, and will automatically be small enough in megabytes for speedy downloads.
