Our Red Sled had a collision with a goose at night. Most importantly, my son was not harmed. Now, it's time to get to work on the plane.
If anyone has a lead on a good condition 150L right wing, I'd much appreciate it.

Thank God no one was injured bird strikes can be very very bad...

Look into getting a leading edge segment or segments and a few nose ribs since it looks like it is skin/support damage only.
You have to open it up to be sure the skin and maybe a rib or two is the only damage from the strike.

A good sheet metal A&P most likely can do the work replacing the segments of leading edge needed and might be able to do the work without taking
the wing off the aircraft.

Wow, Steve.....that's too close for comfort and I'm (we're) so glad to read that everything but the plane is okay.

If you decide to replace the wing, Dawson Aircraft in Clinton, Arkansas (877 293 5300) typically has a full (and long) row of salvage 150/152's with their butts up against the fence.

Not sure where you're located but there are numerous salvage yards around the country to pull from.

Or as Michael says, a good air frame/sheet metal guy might be able to work some magic but it has to come apart first in order to see how deep it goes.

Local shop that specializes in tin bashing and resto work (mostly on sunken Beavers). Quote is around $3K to replace skin and one nose rib along with finishing and tidying up the broken light cover.

My 150 had almost the exact same damage from a goose strike just before I bought it from a friend. Ended up being a straight forward repair on the wing and it flew great afterwards. Luckily when I hit the hawk a year later, there was almost zero damage.

A survey of local mechanics indicates that there is only one shop in NorCal that can do this sort of work. I got the estimate back. Both leading edge skins need replacement, plus 4 nose ribs. The estimate is north of $10,000 for the wing repair. Plus, Cessna doesn’t have the parts in stock. Faeth Aircraft salvage, in Sacramento, does not appear to have a suitable wing. BAS has a wing that, likely, would work. It’s $4400 plus $2500 shipping.
Anyone know of a derelict 150L or M on the west coast that might be a donor?

Often times up here in Alaska we use these accident/opportunity to install a STOL kit. I'll bet you would be surprised what you would find under many leading edge STOL kits. This allows access holes to be cut so the nose ribs can be fixed. Then you cover all the holes and skin repairs with the STOL kit. I'd recommend the Sportsmens kit by Stene Aviation. $2300. plus shipping. Adds value to the plane and increases the safety margin in many ways. Just a thought.
