With ADDED "Fuel Stop" top to help prevent you dropping the stick into the tank.

Calibrated for a 152 usable - not a 150 usable

Can we use the 152 FuelHawk and deduct one gallon from the reading to determine usable fuel. It would have a built in .25 gallon fudge factor. Or am I missing something?

I was thinking the same thing.
The fuel tanks are the same other than the 152 tank having 2 fuel ports and the 150 has only 1.

Well let's face it - that's what I did. I used the stick in a 150!

It seems to be pretty accurate at readings under 9 gallons...but over that I deduct a gallon. Works ok for me.

I wanted a really accurate one for some back country flying so went to the trouble to drain the tanks and then refill the unusable fuel. I then cut off the bottom of the stick so that it read zero at that level. I don't know if anyone wants to go to that amount of trouble. Deducting one gallon like Robert said sounds a lot easier.

I have used one for my 150 for years. And, yep, I add a little fudge factor. Beats the heck out of sticking your finger in the tank ....

Good wife, good friends & a Cessna 150. Life is good.
