I need the plastic block that goes inside the tail cap that holds the VOR antenna in place. From the pictures mine broke. Too broke to glue. I tried. Contact Mark

I’m away from home at the moment and so can’t look up the part number for the VOR block. On my Cardinal it was under $20, but Mark Van Wyck said the part for the 150 cost $200.

Until I get back, here are the details on how to charge it. It’s from my Cardinal but the 150 follows the same steps:

From Cessna "Electronic Installations and Service/Parts Manual":
Item 29 -- Block -- Mounting -- 0431016-1
-------
www.cessnaparts.com [cessnaparts.com]
0431016-1 Info -- BLOCK In Stock -- $120.51
---
Or, maybe find a used one somewhere, or maybe have one made. I'd probably just buy a new one, outrageous as the price is...

Someone with AutoCAD skills and a 3-D Printer probably can make and sell them at a good profit. Like printing money grin

Thanks Mark, will order one tonight. Had the tail complete, raised up and hit my head on one of the VOR antenna, and kerplow, broke.
Thanks again
Mark

What about the window latches that a member made and sold? Are they authorized?

Bummer. You can see from the photo in my previous post that mine was repaired, by an avionics guy, on a bench. Cleaned up connectors, re-soldered, etc. Much easier than trying to stand on a ladder trying to fix it.

We tied twine to bottom end of the coax and pulled the coax up through the tail, and were able to use the twine to pull the coax back down through the tail and through the rubber grommet.

Good luck.

I think I got mine from a salvage yard.
Don't remember the cost because it was a few years ago.
