As I recall, Continental came up with their own spring-loaded pushrod tubes, modeled on the Real Gasket design. They are available for certified engines, but they are not drop-in replacements like Real Gaskets. Instead, I think the cylinder head has a different machining to accept the top of the tube. I thought the mounting block bolted to the crankcase was different, too. [edit: looking at the pictures again I can see the special mounting blocks are included with this set. So the only question remains is what needs to be done to the cylinder head, and is it an ‘easy’ modification?]

I remember looking into it when I had my O-200 overhauled, but I opted for Millenium cylinders instead of Continental and so didn’t/couldn’t use the Continental setup.

PS - this is the same design used on the SkyCatcher engine.

I dunno Kirk, those tubes on the Non Real gasket set look pretty much identical to me, but obviously you would have to measure them or get them side by side with the RG ones to tell.

They ARE certified for use on the Cessna 150, as they are the style of Push Rod Tubes that Continental currently uses on ALL O-200 series engines. I know this to be fact as I have an O-200A that was purchased and received directly from the Continental factory where I live in Mobile, AL about 5 years ago for my '59 150, and these are what come Installed.

I installed a set of the Real Gaskets on my #4 cylinder in January and 40 hours later, no leaks! Getting ready to tackle the #3 cylinder with a kit here soon. Very happy with the results.
