Would like to add an insulated prop COVER to my winter equipment list... figured I would see if anyone here has one they aren’t using before I shell out for a new one.

Also need some cowl plugs, any favourites to recommend?

(oops!)

Just buy a gallon of Prop Wash.

My favorite Cowl Plugs are Plane Cover plugs, but they aren’t made anymore, the guy retired.

Try Bruce’s Custom Covers [aircraftcovers.com]

They make Prop Covers too, and they’re a sponsor of the Cessna 150-152 Fly-In.

I have the Bruce's Custom Cover cowl plugs with my airplane's N-number on them. They are nice and do what they are supposed to do. They have flags attached to that say "remove before flight"

I made a set of prop covers and they are working great. Used the legs from a $5 pair of kids sweatpants from Walmart. Turned them inside out, traced the prop onto it, sewed a seam to follow the tracing, and then turned them right side out. Done. And I can’t even sew.

They fit snugly and the ankle elastic from the pants holds them in place. They seem to help.

Flags are a great idea... something you can see from the cockpit.

I like this idea James! What size kids sweatpants did you get?
