I do not know this seller nor the aircraft. https://denver.craigslist.org/d/aviation/search/ava

Would it be reasonable for me to ask for someone who may be local to go give it a look? Is this the best place to ask for that kind of thing, or is there another spot in the forum for this? EDIT: Here's a good link to the listing. Just south east of Denver, CO. https://denver.craigslist.org/avo/d/parker-cessna-150/7061602074.html

Great, thanks! This (could be) my first aircraft purchase, so I'd appreciate any advice there is out there. I imagine it would be a good idea to have an A&P look over the aircraft personally, double check log books, etc. If there's anyone out there that wants to help me out, I'd love to hear what you have to say. Just a thought and welcome to the club.

Too bad I can't just snap up every good looking plane I see. I hope it turns out to be a good one for you. If not, there will be another. Geoff

Welcome to the Club!
You can check the FAA's website for damage history if you want. You can also order a CD from them that has more information.
Be careful and deliberate in your research. I hate to see a first time owner wind up having to dump a lot of money into their first airplane.
