Just wondering if someone has a used transponder antenna for sale. Just did the transponder certification this morning and the avionics shop owner pointed out that mine was cracked (it is made out of some soft material) and should be replaced, although it checked out fine on his instruments. I have a King model. I passed the certification anyway so I don't think it's urgent.

The TED transponder antennas at Spruce are cheap and work fine -- I've had several. I broke one off each of the three times I've washed my plane -- they're fragile and it only takes a light bump to break them. I'm trying the more expensive one this time but haven't washed the plane since installing it so we'll see how it goes.

X2 on the TED replacement. Seems that no matter how careful I am I?ve managed to snag the antenna with the wash brush on several occasions.
