Just a heads up. I thought the same way about the guys I bought the Champ from in April. They were much less than honest, especially the one that did the work and annual on the plane who is a captain for Southwest AND a CFI.

Having too many airplanes is almost always a good reason to sell.

Airplanes are like horses. Cheap to purchase, but they do eateth thee out of house and home.

Having had both, I can confirm that you speaketh the truth and there is wisdom in your statement.


I can also testify that unlike the other motorized vehicles in our lives, horses don't have a kill switch rendering them problematic at times.

As Bengie told me, you have to keep fueling ‘em even if you aren’t using ‘em.

I haven't heard back from the other guy, yet. I'm slowly losing interest. I flew my own airplane last night and had a great time. When it's just me and cooler weather, it flies great.

I tell people that buying a plane is like making a visit to the drug dealer:
