I would be a little uncomfortable with a DIY overhaul unless the guy really knows what he is doing. Let the buyer beware smile.

I'm going to hold off on the green one. I'd have to upgrade the radios, and instruments, and the paint on the wings. Too much of a project for me.

Yes, and he was drinking, smoking cigars and cracking one liners while inspecting the plane.

I didn’t realize this plane is so close to me. I live about 20 miles from Ozark, Mo, where that C150/150 is based. George Burns did an annual condition inspection on my Challenger CH-II one year when my usual A&P couldn’t. He is really a nice guy, but I haven’t heard anything about his quality of work. “Annuals” on experimentals are much less stringent than on certified aircraft. Sounds like you’ve decided to keep looking,
