Ready to sell N94270 that was damaged by Hurricane Michael last October. TTAF 13,180 TSMO 1200.7 Only damage is to left wing tip, right aileron, and upper tail flashing light. No engine or prop strike damage. Plane had just returned from Clinton before being damaged. This plane was "run over" by another aircraft and only twisted on the ground during the storm. The retired resident A/P and crop duster with 70,000 hours stated that it can possibly be patched and flown away. That decision will not be my call! More photos available if wanted. $10,000 where is/as is.
Hate to see that Wade! I might add that I frankly doubt that it is a "patch and fly away" The Aileron is easy, just replace it!, but that left wing is likely a full rebuild outboard of the taper or the outer third of the span. That might be worse case, but My bet is that a replacement wing would be a more cost effective way to get it done. Is the rudder creased in that one pic??? Hard to tell, need better pics.
I was wrong. Only 40,000 hours in 2012. He had to stop flying two years ago when someone pulled out in front of him on his motorcycle and he could not pass his medical due to crushed leg, hip, and shoulder.
I took flying lessons from him in about 1979. I also was flying the plane that took the aerial photos of him spraying cotton.
