My portable intercom went tires-up Monday evening, wire for the headset connection is broken off right at the solder joint on the PCB. I have someone working on fixing it for me, but in the meantime I'm looking for a backup and/or replacement if anyone has one lying around. Would rather stay with a portable for the time being.

Thanks,
Brian

Good luck, Brian.

We have a portable in Molly. From what I can tell, it works as well as the panel mount that was in the 172 we had.

Thanks Stacey. The portable I have now (Avix A4000) was included in the purchase of N63420. It's worked great for the last 3 years, no audio issues whatsoever, works well for capturing intercom audio to the GoPro using the cable kit.

The guard that kept the main headphone cable in place on the housing is missing, which allowed the wiring to move around inside, causing one of the wires to come loose from the solder joint. Had that not happened, this thing would probably have lasted indefinitely.
