I need a new decal for my freshly painted nose strut, and I could buy from one of a few sources - but they are silly expensive. (like $40)



I have found a local print shop that could set up to print one, but a single sticker would still be silly expensive. However - if there were 10 or so, the per sticker cost would drop significantly, to about $7.50 each. Even less if there is more interest.

So anybody interested in a new decal for their nose strut? The shop will try to match the font and size, but it may not be identical. Importantly, the text will match the manual properly. If enough people want one, I'll order a batch.

Can you take a picture/scan of the label in the manual, and print it on a blank label sheet?

My experience with do-it yourself labels/placards printed with laser printer is that they disintegrate quickly. They look nice at first but heat and moisture wipes them out. If you use a laser printer, maybe try encasing in plastic laminate and gluing it on?

I might be interested. I have to have work done on my nose strut - it keeps losing air, and ends up collapsed. I'll get the O-ring kit, no worries, but trying to find someone to do it is another story.

Looks like there's sufficient interest, I'll talk to the shop about printing a run.

She discussed printing on vinyl or HD paper and laminating it... I'm not sure what she suggests for adhesion, but I explained that it has to stick to painted steel, and be weatherproof.

I'll keep you posted on the progress!!
