I purchased N8366J, '67 G model, 2 years ago. It came with the fairings uninstalled. As far as I know these are the original parts that came with the aircraft. After flying it for 2 years, I have decided I won't ever install them. I know I will pay for this if I ever sell it but I could use the funds for some pressing maintenance items now. Selling as a set, fairings, mounting plates and axle bolts. They seem to be in pretty good shape, no obvious cracks but I didn't do a thorough inspection. I cleaned the mounting plates and the outsides, but not the insides of the fairings. Asking $500

How much do they weigh? Aluminum (probably if original) or fiberglass?

They appear to be aluminum. Definitely aluminum reinforcing around the openings. I'm using a digital bathroom scale, not sure how accurate it is but fairly repeatable. I'm getting 4 lbs. for the nose fairing and 5.6 lbs for the mains.

Now asking $400. Wheel fairings, mounting plates and axle bolts.

They are rougly 14 lbs for the set, as per my W&B back when the previous owner removed them. Also, they are likely fiberglass with reenforcements.

This is a very good deal. All of the pieces are there, even the little plate on the nosewheel pant that covers up where the nose strut fork fits through. This piece is often missing and hard to find.
