Also, what HP engine is in an Aerobat?

No, you aren't blind, you just didn't read Tim's post on 7/30/18 12:55 CDT.

The engine in a 150 Aerobat puts out the same 100 HP as the non-Aerobat.

Matt,

Same 0-200A as everyone else. Only difference is the extended oil breather was standard. Had it listed for $42,500.

Matt,

If I recall correctly, the A150K, L & M are able to STC the Lycoming O-320 for the 150 HP. But, the L and M models lose their aerobatic certification. Apparently, the K model keeps its’ aerobatic cert due to an oversight on the STC. The book on single engine Cessnas talks about how putting the heavier engine on the Aerobat negatively changes it aerobatic qualities. Not nice. So one would be legal to perform aerobatics in a A150K O-320 conversion. But you’d be in an airplane trying real hard to bite you.

Yep, I didn’t like watching someone else fly that airplane. But I’m not the caretaker anymore. Now to get cracking on the -6A...

Ron,

About every other sentence was in reference to “The Club” when I talked to him. He runs a niche electronics business and gets texts and phone calls every 2.6 minutes for customer service help. I hope he’d check in. But very busy person.

Tim
