I attended the University of Illinois’ Institute of Aviation years ago. And went broke. But it’s a great U of I scheme, too.
I have taken the price off as the airplane in down for a new Plane Power Alternator and voltage regulator install. Can’t sell a plane which isn’t able to fly. I should have posted why the price was removed. I also removed my email information from the post. As soon as that appeared, the airplane flippers, low ballers and “help you sell it” people flooded me with emails. If it goes to Barnstormers or TAP, then I expect that. But I posted it here first for obvious reasons. Sometimes I’m very naive. The new alternator and VR are installed as of Saturday. Ground test run, log books signed and 337 mailed Saturday. I’ll fly it tomorrow morning and the post price again. Email still available by clicking on my information for club members. I also don’t mind members passing information to anyone they know. I have a bunch of hi-res photos including logbooks. Sent your email it you even just want to look.
Maybe I’ll just put in new windows and paint it this winter. Then take it to Oshgosh next year with a for sale sign?

I can tell you EXACTLY how much it costs to paint a 1973 Aerobat in original factory colors. This is one of the most detailed designs Cessna used- 3 colors, checkerboard, feathered stripes on upper and lower wings.....on fuselage....vertical fin... I have seen this models paint "attempted" on re-paints, and most are close but look a bit "off"...., but my shop duplicated it exactly. People who think a 150 repaint over $7000 is too much need not bother....

It's so easy to get paint put on a plane.....easy.
It ain't so easy to do it right with attention to detail and that takes man hours and quality coatings mixed in with expertise and that equals dollars.
