I'm looking for a good working ARC IN-514R VOR/LOC indicator. I see them from time to time on Ebay and the major avionics shops seem to have a plentiful supply at a steep price. Please let me know if you have a good one you would part with at a reasonable price. Thanks

Gary, I think I have one that works but the glass is loose in it... Rattled in flight and drove me crazy, my buddies in the know say a dab of silicone will fix it... When I took the old 328 radio out I put it in a box somewhere in the barn because my king radio came with an indicator with glide slope.. PM me your address if interested... If you can use it great, if you can't send it to someone who can. Dave

They call her the halffast airplane. They fly Tigers, 182's ,etc. Don't know what they're missing.

Remove four (some only have three) jewelers screws on the back of the mounting flange, and the faceplate comes off with the glass (note how the knob mechanism interfaces). Clean the glass (vinegar/water and newspaper works great on glass) and flow a dab of superglue between the edge of the glass and faceplate in several places. Reassemble and good as new!

On installed instruments, a small suction cup will help you hold the glass in place while you flow the superglue with a toothpick.

Thanks Dave.

I think I'm going to bite the bullet and just take this as an opportunity to upgrade my whole Nav/Com setup. Appreciate the response and the offer!

Thanks Gary Lanier

Dave,

Did I read correctly that Gary didn't purchase this from you? If he didn't, how much are you asking for it?

Sharon
