Congrats........is the new buyer a club member or did the first buyer show back up??

Either way, if you wanted it gone, I'm glad you succeeded in selling it.

The new buyer is a second generation airline pilot who bought it to teach his teenage daughter how to fly. I really wanted a member to buy it. Oh well.

Well, maybe he could teach her how to fly it to Clinton, Iowa in July... grin

States I landed in N63420 while he was mine:

Speaking of 150E's, I wonder how Bill Simons came out with his hip replacement surgery. Anybody heard?

Hi Stacey! Thanks for the kind words! My surgery is scheduled for 26 March....looking forward to saying goodbye to a lot of pain...funny about 4am this morn I woke up to more than the usual hip pain...and even though I'm a retired forecaster...I usually forget and it's my wife who reminds me....oh having more pain?...that's because pressure is reducing as a high is moving out of Arizona being replaced with a strong low! Ha! This time I figured it all out! Must admit surgery is still scary....but the anesthesia and pain meds have improved over the years and my doctor gave me encouraging words saying this surgery won't be as bad as the cat damage repair....

Ahhh 65Es....they keep falling thru my fingers!

First there was Tony's 65E in Rochester a few years ago....she was the best by golly...an IFR bird for a very good price...haven't seen one as good since.

Then there was Elliot Cannon's E in San Jose...what a beauty

Then a 64D in Lenoir, NC

Then Marty's 65E in Connecticut...not far from Graeme

And then this beauty in Long Island....I kept figuring the wx is crappy up there who would buy a 150 now...oh well....

On a positive note...if I ever do get my E, I'll have a bigger treasure chest saved up for surprises!

Work has been really busy lately and I have just been too tired to log on...but the weekends on now and looking forward to taking it easy!

Actually, there is another E in Pennsylvania that looked really nice, low engine time. Looked very clean. It was advertised for quite awhile and then it disappeared but I still have the info on it.....there's a really nice looking D on Barnstormers but the engine time is too high

As Poobs would say "I be Lurking"...that is for an E someday!

grin

Guys, take my advice. If you see a plane for sale at this time of year in a cold weather climate do not hesitate to take a look and make a low ball offer. My buddy refused a few offers sight unseen but felt the plane needed to be looked at first. Nobody came to look. Then a local heard about the plane for sale and made a low, low ball offer. SOLD!! Hey, it doesn't hurt to make an offer. You never know.
