The cooler part is the seller was looking for a plane to downsize to that his kids could learn to fly. He had the Cherokee I wanted, and I had the 150 he wanted. We worked out a trade and finished the deal today.

Extra credit goes to Mike Nass who was able to give some guidance in the process as we did this in his hangar at Clinton Iowa. A nice half way point for buyer and seller.

It's been a very good day.

Jim, my favorite Cherokee is an Arrow, mostly because I got my commercial in one. Next favorite is the Archer/180, which is a very nice X-C machine, just enough performance with a great fuel burn and you eliminate the maintenance of retractable gear and a constant speed prop. Coming off owning a 150, you’re gonna love the speed and range it has. Congratulations!

Sounds like a deal made in heaven..... whistle whistle

Congrats, Jim. I hope you can fly the 180 to Clinton this summer so we can all have a look at your prized possession.

There is a better than average chance of that. It won't take as long either.
