I am about ready to sell my 150H. Along with that will be these skis.

It's been a wonderful plane I have thoroughly enjoyed. My mission has evolved from local rides and lunch getter, to adding longer trips and I want something faster.

The skis are Federals with poly bottoms. The mains are 2000's ( same as the 1500's with a wider base ) and the nose gear ski is the very hard to find Federal NA 800. All brackets will be included and the paperwork work for the STC along with some drawings from Wipair who now owns Federal.

$3200 FOB New London WI USA

The 150 is a marvelous ski plane. A real hoot to fly off snow fields lakes and rivers. As anyone with much winter experience knows, snow conditions matter a lot. Don't fly in sloppy wet snow. Dry fluffy is a dream. Slick packed is great too. Drifted moguls I leave alone.

No they don't have a provision for a tube gear.

Damn, Jim! A dream come true. But that's a tad over $4100 CDN and I'd have to get them shipped. Outta my budget for now.

Not sure yet, but most likely a 172 M, Cherokee 180, Piper Warrior or a fixed gear Cardinal. Some others have also caught my eye. I even considered an Arrow but it's not the best for the runway where I live and that is the most important factor.

There was an M5 210C Maule project that almost followed me home. I checked on insurance and found it to be absolutely eye watering. They apparently get wrecked quite often. This one did too if it's any indication. 4 times damaged in 405 total hours since new.

All good prospects.

So many planes, so little time.

This will be fun to follow.

I have an E model with HD nose gear and was wondering if the STC included this model. We don't have snow yet and we get a lot of drifting here so not sure if it is a good thing or not. Sure would like to try it.

I have the STC in front of me and there is no mention of that either way. The only thing you need to do to the nose is to add a bracket plate on each side of the assembly to hold a spring loaded strut on the back side of the nose ski, and a safety cable for the front side.

I would think there would be no reason it shouldn't work. A good quality picture of your assembly would be helpful. If nothing else you could custom make new side plates (easy) to fit the hole spacing your fork may have.

Thanks for your response. I am not sure how to get a picture posted on here. I might try figure it out. It is a little more than I can spend on the skis anyway right now.

I have been looking for a set of skis and now realize what you have are quite rare so I don't think asking price is out of line, snow conditions here in SW Sask usually end up in drifts and eventually get hard as cement so thinking they might not be a good idea for me.

They came from La Ronge, Saskatchewan when I bought them. He loved them and has some you tube videos of his adventures. His 150 was C-FUHN. I talked to him a few weeks back and told him I would sell them. He had wanted the right of first refusal, but has since moved on to Piper Pacers. He thought I was $200 too low on the price. If the drifts get hard I don't use them. That happened here a few years ago, so that year I never put them on. Much of the time the snow is suitable here, your snow may vary.

Whoever is serious, just talk to me. I won't be using them.
