Great deal!

If I had the cash to spare, I'd buy one and keep it in reserve.

How long do mufflers last before needing to be rebuilt? On average.

Last one I had to rebuild we figured had around 400 hours. My mechanic thought that was premature to be failing, but the baffle tubes were letting go.

That price seems good. $320 per muffler, add in stubs, shrouds, and outlets and you're up to about $1000 for a complete exhaust system. That's about what I remember them costing about a decade ago.

You would have to buy two correct? One left and one right?

$1000
I wish. My IA told me the clamps were made of gold. I guess he wasn't kidding or I wasn't paying attention.
Kirk, sit down. Take a deep breath.....
Look at the attached snip from the parts manual, and the current prices on Cessna dealer website.
Additionally, the shrouds are-
R/H side $1154.00
L/H side $770.00

Good GAWD, a pair of those clamps that hold the stub pipes are $505, and you need two sets.

I just bought a new RH muffler for our C-150. It was $344 from Dawley Aviation in Wisconsin. I think that is their regular price. I bought exhaust pipes from them a few years ago, but don't remember the price. I suspect they can build everything for you if you want.
