Plane Plastics does not have have the lower instrument panel plastic for the 150M (breakers, no flap preselect). Other than fabricating my own, anybody know where to get this part? Mine is shot.

Club member Bill Rourke makes fabulous metal panels. If you like to have one made, click on his name, then send him a Private Message. When he replies, there will be a blinking envelope near the top of your screen, next to "My Stuff". Click on it to read his reply. If he's on a trip (he's an airline pilot), it might take him a few days to reply.

Hi Paul. Good to see you joining in the conversation! And welcome to the Club!

By the way, there are a few pictures here somewhere (I'm not good at posting links to help out -- sorry) of panels Bill has made. They are something to behold.

Paul. Welcome to the club. I have a C150M so I am interested in your project. Have you replace any of the other plastic?

Good wife, good friends & a Cessna 150. Life is good.

Here are a few pics of a newly installed metal panel by Bill Rourke:

BTW, Cessna is the only place to purchase the OEM lower panel plastic. You'll probably like the metal pricing better.

Today is your lucky day.....here's the lower panel out of my 150M. Pay no mind to the beautiful color or that small crack.

Price today and today only is 5,000.00..........(or buy a real one from Bill Rourke.) grin

All kidding aside, this is such a big job you only want to do it once and a metal panel is the only one that'll go the distance and pass the test of time.

A number of us have Bill's panels and there really is no substitute....they're that nice. You'll get a panel that fits, in the color scheme you wish (powder coated) with the engraving done.....turn key and ready to install.

Welcome aboard, Paul.

Jim

Plane Plastics does sell this part, but it is not listed in their catalog since they don't have a PMA on it. You will need to send them your old part (even if it is crumbled pieces), so they can make you a replacement as an "owner supplied" part. Give them a phone call to discuss with them.

I have it on good authority that Jim will accent Monopoly money... wink

I would like a Bill Rourke panel too... Maybe after I recover from the engine overhaul.
