I'm calling them now. I loved the one I had in my 150. I've lived without a FuelScan in this plane long enough. smile

Now, if you find a good deal on one with a gravity type transducer... let me know!

No, JPI will not take the used one on exchange. I asked. And I'm not sure what the difference is on the Marine one. Since it is the same number, I presume it would work but the paperwork probably wouldn't pass muster.

I would suggest trying to get $150-$200 for your 201 transducer on eBay, and then just buy a new 231.

Yes, I assume the difference is the paperwork.

I plan on listing the 201 and getting the proper transducer. It's a shame that the transducer will cost almost as much as the unit cost me.

The Marine version doesn't use a text based instruction manual, only a bunch of pictures.

Just kidding... I don't know the real difference, either.

Were either of you able to use the unit? I'll be through there tomorrow and Wednesday. Will be back in Huntsville Friday afternoon for a few minutes if I can help...

I called and offered to buy it. They kindly took my name and phone number and said Wade will call me back... when he returns from his vacation at the end of the month.

Well....ugh. Sorry about that. I'll stand by to stand by... and wait 'til the end of the month.
