So I've bounced around a few places this year and wound up in Charlotte, NC. I'm still a student pilot & would very much like to restart my training, attain private, & continue to fly. I keep coming back to the most economical way to fly as much as I want to is to own a plane...or at least part of one. Does anyone have, or know of a fractional share of 150/172 available in the Charlotte area? Ideally Rock Hill/York Count (KUZA) or Gastonia Municipal (KAKH) as those are closest to me.

Edit: If there's a great deal to be had for buying outright, I might be able to do it if I can convince my wife!

Welcome to NC. I am based in Greenville, NC but I grew up near Hickory and learned to fly at Statesville, NC and then Anderson, SC. We use to do touch & goes at Charlotte, so you know it was a long time ago. Can not help you with any info on clubs or fractional shares in your area, but give me a shout if you are ever in the eastern part of the state and we'll get some BBQ.

Contact member Robert Cressman about his 150. He's just lowered the price and it is a GREAT deal for a quality aircraft. He's located in Reading, PA. Reading would be an easy flight from NC.

What George said.

Unfortunately, Robert is officially grounded and his plane, at that price, is a plum waiting to be picked.

If I didn't already own 3 planes, I would have swept his plane off the market the very minute I knew it was for sale.

If this deal doesn't work out in PA I have listed for a friend a 1965 E model. The engine is fresh and he is looking to sell asap and is willing to bargain. I'm sure we can have it ferried to North Carolina. It's listed here under my name, Anthony Balestrino
