I need a gust lock for a 77M model 150. The 77 has the hole on the top of the control column. Let me know if you have one you can part with. Thanks a million.

They are very easy to make. Do a search for gust lock I think. There has been previous discussions about gust locks.

I ran into the same situation. I called the Cessna parts dealer..........believe me, you do not want to do this...........I know Cessna parts are about 5 times what they should be, and I can definitely give some other examples, but........the gust lock was over $300. Needlss to say, I made my own. Some of the decal packages have a gust lock sticker included.

If you like, I can trace the pattern of my gust lock on a piece of paper and mail it to you. I think a welding rod is about the right size.

Randall and Robert,

How about using that pin (clevis?) that holds the two pieces of the tow bar together? Hardware stores have multiple sizes. Should cost < $5.
