This picture has a very emotional attachment to it. It was my first time flying with my "new friends", you and dad, and it was the second day and the culmination of 19.5 hours flying to get to Clinton just as the sun breaks through the clouds. Some here talk of Clinton as a "religious" experience. Well that's about what I felt at that moment. It's funny how one picture can bring back that flood of emotion as if you were right there again. Thank you to both of you for that experience.

Enough sap. Back to selling Roberts beauty of a plane! Someone will get a wonderful aircraft, of that I'm sure.

Amen to that.

Thanks so much, Bill! But hey, our airplanes are like people; it's how they relate to the ones who love them that's important! wink

Beautiful and a GREAT one, too, I might add.

If anyone out there is looking for a truly nice 150, the Pennsylvania Duchess should end your search.

I've admired this plane at Clinton for many years. whistle

Best of luck, Robert......I hate to see this but you said the day was coming this spring and here we are. frown

Jim

I'll certainly miss the camaraderie one finds in the aviation community, and especially the flights to Clinton, but times change and, unfortunately, we have to face reality. I very much appreciate your kind words though. smile

It is also the wallpaper on my PC. It is a great photo and a reminder of one of my best trips to the Confab! laugh

Take care, eh! grin

Thanks, Ron. I would enjoy a trip to Clinton with Robert, and keep the possibility open. An engine rebuilt has limited funding necessary for the trip.

Ironic... spend the money to keep flying and then can't afford to fly, go figure. :-)

Hmm, that just might be doable; especially if I find a buyer for 29X! The next time we meet for lunch, we can make that a subject for discussion. wink

Update on sale of N4629X:

Showed the airplane last night to a family from nearby Schuylkill County, PA.

The father, a Cherokee Six owner, his oldest college-age son, and two teenage sons are all pilots.

They loved 29X and want to have an A/I friend look at it next week.

I hope this family decides to buy it. They said they would hanger it and I know my 150 will be flown.

I intend to insist that they join the Cessna 150-152 Club as a condition of sale! grin

Hope you'll get it sold to them, at a good price.
