Anyone know of an Indiana Jones-like stash of the 0.070 oversize Continental O-200 pushrods P/N 537870P070?

Dry tappet rocker-to-valve stem clearance exceeds limits, Continental made pushrods 0.03 and 0.07 longer for service use. Can still find the 0.03 longer pushrod easily but not the 0.07.

I ran into the same problem on my previous engine, and believe it was due to the rockers having been machined several times -- it had been done each time a cylinder was replaced. New cylinders came with everything except new rockers. I was considering buying some new rockers (at >$200 each) before I decided to replace the engine. I couldn't find longer pushrods either.

I believe the 070 pushrods are not "approved" ie not listed in Continentals parts book, but used to get them from Lou Liebe in California, I think he is out of business now.
I can check my stock, how many do you need? Alan

Alan, I only need a single 0.07 pushrod. Everything else works with the 0.03 pushrods. Thanks for checking. Mike

Thanks for all the good and informative advice, everyone. Yes, we are pursuing new rockers as well but wanted to consider all options.

I made a jig for checking rocker geometry and could not find much difference in even the ones I knew had been rebuilt several times.

I have a .070 if you need it.

I needed the jig for when the next engine came in with the same problem, for a while it seemed like everything I worked on needed .070s.
