Well after semi-lurking around the site for the last 8 months my partner and I finally bought a 1977 150 for $18,000.00. I've owned 150s before so my partner (A&P) and another A&P former 150 owner/mechanic neighbor down the way did the pre-buy. Worked out well, its a very sound airplane for 7200 hours, it needs some wax and plastic but mechaniclly sound. No major problems found. 120 hours on a rebuild with a factory rebuilt case new cam, lifters, reground crank, millenium jugs etc (with all the receipts). Its flys nice. We put the first 7 hours on it flying from El Paso back to Eagles Nest south of Dallas on the 18th dodging thunder storms all the way. Its was great!!!

Oh yeah, it needs an annual before the end of the month, but with 3 A&Ps and a A&P IA within walking distance life is good!!

Congratulations Bill!!!! The Texas Wing of the 150 club is one of the most active so I would imagine you will have lots of opportunities to show off your new bird.
