Later when he was inside he forgot and he opened the door. The door caught the top of the rudder and crunched it badly. The has happened about four times at other hangers with other planes here in the last ten years. Strange. Anyway does anyone know of a salvaged replacement rudder for a 150M part PN 0433010-1?
Thanks

I am very careful, even parking outside door. On Friday, it was raining pretty good and I got the truck pretty close so when I opened the door I made sure it cleared the truck. Sorry to hear about your friend. Good luck with finding that part.

By the way did you know Vaughn Lamb at San Martin. Not sure about Vaughn, but a certain mechanic Steve Lamb of Magnum Aviation does my annuals. Back in '10 I was having my plane painted. Granular corrosion was found on the vertical stabilizer, and I needed a new one, or repair the old one. https://www.cessna150152.com/forum/u...rtical+stabilizer&Search=true#Post253340I wound up purchasing an entire assembly, over the phone, in good condition, for $300 from Faeth salvage of Sacramento. They shipped it to me in a few days.

There's Dawson Aircraft salvage in Clinton, AR: 800-293-5300
Or, Google Dawson aircraft for their website. Last time I was there, they had rows and rows of 150/152's on the lot.
