Discovered during my annual yesterday; There is a cracked 3'' section on upper LH of my channel.

Is there any club member you know that are parting out a 150L or 150M or 152 ?
Please let me know. My mechanics say it doesn't need to be the entire Channel (which is about 60'' inches long)
Just the rounded upper LH section (couples inch longer than my crack) so my mechanics can do a repair.
major cessna parts dealer are all wanting 690$ for a piece of extruded channel.
The part no. is 0453107-3

As shown at position 48 in the drawing

Thanks Kendel for the info!

just left a message

Crossing my finger

hopefully it will work

I'm also trying with a local guy but is unsure of the condition of his firewall (crashed)

No worries. I just happened to stumble across it.

"New" would be better than "crashed".

Hope it works out for you.

Kendel thanks to you for the lead, and as an update:

I've received the part last week (the long nose is to show how big the angle extrusion is). Got it for 100$
Will get it installed in the next week.

To revive a very old thread.... I now need this exact part that I helped Frederic buy for cheap a half dozen years ago. I pulled my firewall to clean it up of corrosion behind the doublers and was cleaning what I thought was light corrosion on the extrusion when it erupted. Check out the two pictures to see how the intergranular corrosion suddenly ripped through the surface. It really baffled me as I hadn't seen it a few minutes earlier and thought at first that I must have somehow cracked the aluminum in getting the tails of a couple of rivets removed from the piece.

So, anyone got any leads cheaper than the $970 that Cessna now wants for a 0453107-3?

Can you repair it with a piece of angle stock cut to the right dimensions and spliced in? Alan
