I honestly think your searching for a rudder skin is futile as it isn't something anyone would have just laying around as an extra part on a shelf or in a pile of hangar parts- these items if ordered are usually for a specific repair, and are not ordered in quantity.
Most folks needing to repair a damaged rudder usually just find a good replacement at a salvage provider, where you can get a complete assy for far less than just the trailing edge skin from Cessna, AND forgo the labor to install it.
I'm certain you can source a complete rudder for less that the $1161.00 skin only.

If you need spot painting done and need it to match existing parts...

Go talk to Frank at Chandler Aviation. Or Jason behind the parts counter. They use a guy to do that kind of work and his touch ups looked very good. I got to see a lot of his work after the windstorm last August.

Unless you guys are as good at painting as you are with aluminum, then forget the above.

Back in '10 I was having my plane painted. Granular corrosion was found on the vertical stabilizer, and I needed a new one, or repair the old one.

I wound up purchasing an entire assembly, over the phone, in good condition, for $300 from Faeth salvage of Sacramento. They shipped it to me in a few days.

Apparently the entire assembly is fairly easy to remove and replace, for mechanics, that is.

Thx Kendel. Didnt need the rudder then. That was before the tail spring issue that happened a few days after i saw you.

Found a shop locally that has a NOS skin for $765. A little salty but better than $1100 list.

Id consider an entire rudder but would want it in nearly perfect condition with no dings or damage.
