It's an oil tank.

It's painted Continental gold color.

The cap is powdercoated yellow.

Hey Bengie, do you happen to have an extra oil cap? The attached dipstick on mine broke off (while in my hand, thankfully)!

I ordered a replacement from AS but it doesn't seem to fit tight enough. In flight oil leaks out in spite of the apparently tight-fitting gasket.

Seriously?? confused

No, no dents in this one, even though I've been sitting here contemplating how on earth anyone could ever dent an oil tank on a C150, especially one that hasn't been off the plane since 1976.

BTW, just out of curiosity, how much are new ones?
