A coworker once said to me "Your memory is like a bear trap, once something got in, it never gets out" grin. Having a good memory helped me a lot during my career in IT.

I will, however, publicly back-pedal on my Champion spark plug stance, though. I really like the current crop of Tempest plugs. I now have some Champions in the fishing tackle box.

Garry, I would be very interested to know what do you have against Chris Heinz and particularly against the Ch701/750? For as far as I know there are very few crashes resulted in dead for these models. Also, none of the crashes can be attributed to the design.

Go back and read what was said about the Wings of Hope airplane. Very sad news.

That is incorrect, Venko. We should discuss this over a beer or three. grin

Edit...I know of no design-related crashes of the 700 series Zenairs. However, the "Cricket" and the 600 series Zenair designs have fatal flaws.

I don't drink but if you invite me I'll drive over and meet both of you. Just pick a place that has at least good milkshakes !

Gary, I'm flying the morning to Port Lavaca, I can swing by Arlington on my way back. Carlos, how far east are you from us (DFW)?

Port Lavaca, good and bad memories. I used to fly EMS out of Victoria. I wish we could post pictures here, still trying to find a place to put them so I can link them up here.

I'm about 1.5 hours (driving with no traffic) east of Dallas but only about 15 minutes from here http://www.airnav.com/airport/7F5 and I'll pay for the milkshakes !!

Gary and we have shared some very special memories over the years, Carlos, and this is exactly what a special person like Gary, who also has the necessary skills, would do for another, so it wasn't very hard to guess.

So you're saying it was all because of Gary and you're not really a smart fellow like I thought? wink
