Well, avgas is now $4.20/gallon at my small airport and about $5.00 elsewhere nearby. Even the 150 is becoming expensive to fly. However, I found a nice 1932 Aeronca C-3 for sale on www.barnstormers.com [barnstormers.com] (go to this website, then look up Antique/Classic, then Aeronca). It is fully restored, 1700TT and 28SMOH. 37 hp Aeronca engine, 65 mph, 8 gallon capacity fuel tank and 3 g/hour consumption. Not much of an airplane, but this is as basic and as cheap to fly as it gets.

Ah yes, the C-3. I noticed one for $12,000 and another for $30,000. Which one were you refering to? Still, either would be nice for the person looking for a nice little antique.

It is the one for $30,000 that I am refering to. I think the owner has many extra parts and a spare engine.

It may be worth the price. Two aircraft for the price of one.
