I wonder if it's light-sport capable. That would make somebody a very nice airplane.

But didn't the C140 originally have metal wings? confused

Sorry Amy, nope and nope..

The 120/140 has a max gross weight of 1450 lbs and the 140A has a max gross weight of 1500 lbs which puts them outside of the LSA weight limit. There was a push years ago in the 120/140 club to create a STC to lower the MGW to comply with the LSA regs but the Feds shot it down.

The 120/140's came from the factory with fabric covered wings. The 140A came out with a single lift strut and metal wings. They actually have almost the same wing as the 150 except that they have hinged flaps, not Fowler flaps. Many of the wing parts are interchangeable between the 140A and the 150.
