This kit and paperwork was put together by Mike Sibley. I was going to install in a 150E, but priorities have changed.
Includes STC paperwork and drawings. Shipping from Texas on the Kit. Shipping from Alaska for the re-arched gearlegs. $4,500 plus shipping from both locations.
Will also be listing a 150HP Del-Air conversion kit shortly with a 250 SMOH O-320-E2D

That must make it difficult to buy trousers off the shelf. And how many more do you think you'll end up with? wink

The 140 legs will not work with this TW kit. It uses re-arched 150G legs. All is included with the kit.

Hey Joseph, the 140 gear legs are only for the Lowe STC. and that stc is only for the 59-63 birds.

Although I did call Lowe in the last year - and he is working on getting his STC approved for the 64 and 65 models. I think he already has one built (or is in the process of building - he said it will look like a mini bird dog). He said there is no difference in the actual conversion as far as the fuselage goes - the only difference is the window.

I've always kinda wanted a tailwheel '64-'65, but only with the 140's tailfeathers. Now, that would really look like a baby L-19/O-1 Bird Dog! It wouldn't be hard to do, by using the 140's tailcone to mount them properly (and it comes with a tailwheel already)!

Approval through 'normal' channels might be a little iffy, but I'm sure it can be done.

Except Cessna already tried it and the test pilot almost endoed the plane when he pulled the massive Fowler flaps...it needs the bigger tail.
