Looking for a 150m lower panel plastic, to use as a pattern for some hole spacing. Junk or broken would be great.
This is the model that has the fuel/oil gauges on the right side upper panel. | | | | Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 1,518 Likes: 6 Member/1500+posts | Member/1500+posts Joined: Jun 2007 Posts: 1,518 Likes: 6 | I have a metal, powder coated (dark grey), laser engraved (with white lacquer lettering), lower panel I will sell you for $350...;-) | | | | Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 15,898 Likes: 997 Member/15,000 posts | Member/15,000 posts Joined: Mar 2004 Posts: 15,898 Likes: 997 | I have a metal, powder coated (dark grey), laser engraved (with white lacquer lettering), lower panel I will sell you for $350...;-) and all the holes are already cut.

I happen to have a CNC table in my garage and I'm fairly handy with my CAD work, so I thought I'd give it a go. (For my plane, no one else's, no worries)

The biggest pain is removing the throttle and mixture controls completely in order to thread them through the new panel. Which is also a great time to replace them with vernier control cables....

This is the model that has the fuel/oil gauges on the right side upper panel. You may be better off making your own cardboard template. The plastic wasn't a precision item to begin with, and may have warped/shrunk/stretched due to age.

You have to disconnect the Throttle, Mixture, carb & Cabin heat, fresh air, parking brake, electrical switches......well you get the picture. The good news is, when your done the airplane will look better than it did new;-) How much of a pain is it to put in a new lower panel from Bill?
