I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask for help. I'm trying to get new seats for my 150l (73). I see that lots of people work with TNwings. Since their web site is down is there someone else?
thanks.
Richard a newbe

I just got into TN Wings web site [tnwings.com] at 2:30PM CST and it worked fine. If you can't get in, their contact info is attached below.

My two cents:
1. "New seats" for C-150s are no longer manufactured or available. You must repair or replace-with-serviceable used seats. Passenger-side (right hand) seats are plentiful. Pilot-side seats (left hand) not so much.
2. TN Wings can repair and re-upholster your existing seats, as can others.
3. If you know the specific part number, try Dawson's Salvage [aircraftpartsandsalvage.com]. I had good luck with them. Other salvage places may also have something for you.
4. AFAIK, the seat backs from the pilot side and passenger side are interchangeable in most C-150s -- but you must get the correct seat part number for whatever year plane you have. I think. Maybe that helps.

Hello Richard A. Newbe, wink

Call TN wings and talk with Shelby.

I have noticed that parts of their web site have been down for a while but I believe Shelby and his mom are going strong.

The only time you would need "new" seats for your plane is if the metal frames of the existing seats are broken beyond repair.

Shelby will replace all the "soft" pieces of the seat (fabric, padding, webbing). I believe he can also repair cracks or breaks in the metal frame.

150 seats are pretty small - no matter what you do, they'll never feel like the driver's seat of a modern luxury automobile. That being said, Shelby does some great magic.

Before I used Shelby I replaced the foam padding and webbing under the existing upholstery of my 150 seats. That made them go from "Sore" to "Tolerable". Later, I sent the seats to Shelby. They came back "Comfortable". smile
