Anyone here ever try the "In your ear" type headsets? I was reading on another group that I'm a member of about the "Clarity Aloft" headsets. Seemed a couple people liked them better than their Bose and better than the Mach1's from LightSpeed.

I now have LightSpeed 20-3G's. They work well, but I'm considering trying the "Clarity Aloft".

If your not familiar with them, there website is

Hi Dale,
There was some discussion regarding the in the ear type headsets some time ago here on the forum. Here is what I had to say about them:

"I am a firm believer of the, in the ear, Auri Comm headset. I must admit I was the biggest skeptic at first (thinking that the ear bud would drive me nuts) but we decided to give it a try after talking with the owner of the company at Oshkosh 2 yrs ago. He told me to give it a try and if I wasn't happy, I could return it.

Let me tell you, there is no way I would give it up. I used to complain to Royson, after a long flight, that the headsets were just to heavy. My neck would feel strained at the end of the flight. (ok, maybe I'm just a princess, but none the less, I felt tension in my neck at the end of a flight )

The Auri Comm has totally worked for me. It is extremely light weight (.38oz) and to me, it works as well as the ANR headsets I used to use. Now long flights are much more comfortable and I don't complain as much, (which makes for a much happier pilot! ) "

I did try out the Light Speed ones last year at Osh Kosh and decided I would trade my Auri Comm ones in for those if the price wasn't so steep. They are much more comfortable over the ear. It just seems that they were much more wearer friendly. Still nothing to complain about with the Auri Comm, but in my opinion, the Light Speed version is much more comfortable.

Cheesy Petes! Look at the price! I wonder how that mic stands up to use? If you buy them, be sure and report back.
