Hi everyone! I'm the new guy here. I recently bought my first airplane, a 1966 150F. I'm still learning how to own (and fly) the thing, so please excuse any stupid questions.

My control yoke has cracked at the attach point, and I need a replacement. Figured I would get on here and see if any of you fine ladies or gents have any advice or resources you could point me to. I would love to find one already wired with a PTT if possible. Check salvage yards (I found a post that listed dozens)? Ebay? Other members on here? Thanks!

Look....A NEW GUY!!!!

Welcome!!!!

Maybe someone will be along to help you in a while. In the meantime during your search, you could always swap the right one over to the left side. Your mechanic could probably knock it out in 30 minutes or less.

Check Wentworth or White Industries. Both are aircraft salvage yards.

And welcome to our group!

I have a spare I was going to offer you cheap, but then I looked on eBay. There's a bunch of 150 control yokes for sale there for around $40. They usually go for at least twice that.

Thanks for the welcome and suggestions.

From what I can tell, each model year has a different part # for the yokes, and it looks like the shaft lengths I found on eBay can range from 14.75" to 16.5". Are these typically interchangeable, or should I be searching for parts specific to my particular year model?

The yoke is riveted onto the shaft, so you can just change it out.

Except the rivets are $35 each and you'll need 4....and a $pecialty tool to install them.

Hmmmm.... How much does it cost to cut down the shaft and drill a new hole in it?

I've got a copilot yoke with no PTT from a 67 150G for 20 bucks plus postage.
