Suppose there is a late-comer that is clueless on Clinton and wants to hop an airline flight to attend. Are there hotels or anything available ? If I can put something together pretty quick I'd like to attend, hang out and just enjoy.

Fly into Moline, then rent a car and drive to Clinton.

Or fly to STL EARLY Tuesday morning, have me pick you up at St Louis Lambert International and you can ride with me up to Clinton and we can take turns flying or being the TAO (Target Actuation Officer) in the contests.

Lot of hotels. We are staying at the Holiday Inn Express.

I have a reservation at the Holiday Inn Express that I will not be using. It is for Monday to Friday I believe, as we were too fly home on Saturday. I was going to wait till the last minute to cancel it, but if someone wants it ??? Not sure what if any, the procedure is to transfer it.

No. The Fly-In has one or two shuttle vans, driven by volunteer members. It goes to all the motels/hotels every 1/2 hour in the morning and evening. It's also available to go on-demand if somebody needs to go somewhere in town. Volunteer as a driver is also a good way to meet other club members and have an air-conditioned place to sit during the hot day.

If you can't get cheap airline tickets on short notice, maybe you can drive to St. Louis to meet up with Ron Twente.
