There are some subtle dimensional changes in the tanks that clearly place these tanks into the "non-moat" type of 150's and unfortunately not in the C152's.

The fellow that we are selling our long range wings to has purchased two Cessna 172 long range tanks for little of nothing and is going to cut a section out of the middle of each and then reweld the two halves back together to match the dimensions of the 150 long range tank. Though he has been really slow in paying us the remaining amount and I have been definitely on the fence if we should purchase your tanks, just in case?

But, we also have the "moat" wings and I was just going to manufacture new tank covers. Are you saying that there are other dimensional differences, Danny? confused

Yeah Mr. GPB, these are quite a find, as I know your search has been quite extensive. I mean, factory new, too. OEM & NOS all rolled into one...and an extremely fair price!!! And yourself, being an A/P, could employ some of your sheet-metal friends to help with the installation, therefore, eliminating most (if not all) of the labor costs.

Yep, I think you'll do well jumping on these, as would anyone else in this Club!!

Bengie, you are correct that these tanks are fairly priced but Dan and Sandy have requested that whoever buys them actually put them to good use and that is no longer a viable option with us. So hopefully they will go to somebody that can really use them and can honor that request.

Danny or anybody, have any idea if the customer waiting over six months for Del Air extended range got his order? Thinking about ordering something from them and was curious of the timeline involved.

Rich, I would call DelAir and try to talk to somebody personally. From such a conversation you should be able to get some sort of gut feeling..................

Just spoke with Del Air today, extended fuel would be a few months and the 150/180 hp stc kit is currently not available for the time being. I'll keep searching!

I am not sure what you are really looking for or actually needing Rich, but this previous post may be of some help?

You will want to keep in mind that the filler locations are different between the Cessna 150 standard tank and the Cessna long range tanks so the skins would have to be modified / re-manufactured if you are switching from standard to long range tanks...........
