I know we talk about where to get parts and such, but should we put together a list for the club and note experiences?
We can readily track the good from the bad and introduce new vendors as someone discovers or tries one. We could add categories like which parts or supplies to get where.

That sounds good. Two of the companies I've had good service from are Chief Aircraft in Grant Pass OR.(www.chiefaircraft.com [chiefaircraft.com]) , and A.E.R.O (www.A-E-R-O.com [a-e-r-o.com]), In Granite City IL.

Thanks Leo, I was surprised that more folks don't chime in.
With our club numbers, we should have suppliers fighting for our business. I'm missing something perhaps.
I bought 2 brackets yesterday from Don at Cal-Aero. He was pleasant on the phone and was helpful. Told me about a recent purchase of his and knew about the club.

AS&S is great, but don't have every part and some supplier search engines have part number trouble.

I think that the club should have a separate vendor page showing what to buy where based on updated experiences by club members.

My 2 cents.

Chris, I just rejoined Angie's List, which has grown throughout the country. Have you heard of it? It's all about members using suppliers, contractors, plumbers, etc and reporting back to the group.

Sort of like feedback for eBAY except you get to grade the people you hire A-F and leave extensive details.

Anyway, that's what I thought of when you mentioned this idea. epinions is another example, but I doubt the Club has the resources to put something like this together anytime soon. Something about "hours in a day."

Just my .02
